Alex Kreis went undrafted on Tuesday.
The Jamestown College pitcher had been told by one Major League team he was a Group 4 prospect, meaning he could be selected anywhere between rounds 9-15.
That did not happen, however, as rounds 2-30 were completed without the Grand Forks native being picked.
The final 20 rounds of the draft will be held today.
Kreis does have one more year of eligibility remaining for the Jimmies. So even if he is selected today, he could opt to return to school and attempt to improve his stock for next year's draft in hopes of going higher.

Kreis went 6-0 for the Jimmies this spring and was named the Dakota Athletic Conference pitcher of the year. He logged 63 innings, striking out 71 batters and allowing 63 hits, with an ERA of 3.13.
He's currently pitching in the Coastal Plains League, a wood-bat league for college players with pro potential.
No player from the Dakota Athletic Conference has ever been drafted.
