Kaia Bickford is the latest family member coming to Jamestown College.
The LaMoure native's parents -- Joel and Vicki -- are alums and she joins her sister Rachel on the current JC track and field team. She's a pole-vaulter and placed ninth at the state meet last month in Bismarck with a career-best mark of 8-feet.
"Kaia did very well as an inexperienced pole-vaulter, first getting to state and then just missing a scoring place by finishing ninth," Jimmie women's track and field coach Jim Clark said. "Kaia is proof that good things come in small packages. She was involved in just about every sport and most other activities at LaMoure High School.
"Kaia is a good kid and she will be a valuable addition to our track and field team."
She plans to major in elementary education at Jamestown College.
