The Langdon Area/EM football team topped the final Class A football media poll with 17 of the 18 first-place votes. The Cardinals are at 9-0, while No. 2 Lisbon stands at 6-0 and No. 3 Velva is 8-0.
LaMoure/LM took sole possession of the top spot in the 9-man ranking, receiving nine first-place votes while No. 2 Cavalier scored eight. LLM boasts an 8-0 record while Cavalier stands at 9-0. Defending 9-man state champions, Kidder County, came in third place with a record of 6-1 and one first-place vote.
Area state playoff games this Saturday include LaMoure/LM hosting St. John, Lisbon hosting Harvey-Wells County, Oakes hosting Carrington, Kidder County hosting Ray/Powers Lake and Linton/HMB traveling to Surrey.
