University of Mary standout Andy Leer was drafted by the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday.
Leer, a former Williston High School standout, was picked by the Twins in the 25th round, the 765th player selected in the 3-day event.
Leer, a shortstop, finished his career as the school's all-time hits leader with 189 in his four seasons with the Marauders. He also set new records for runs (132), triples (13) and started all 171 games in his career.
Leer also excelled academically, compiling a GPA of 3.79 in business administration.
