Napoleon beat Edgeley-Kulm 25-19 and 25-12 in the third-place match of the 8th annual Wentz Memorial Invitational on Saturday.
The host Imperials lost to Ellendale in the semifinals, 19-25, 25-12 and 15-12.
The Cardinals went on to beat South Border for the tournament title, 25-17, 23-25, 15-8.
Rikki Schmidt topped the Imperials in their two matches with 47 digs and 23 kills. She also had 3 aces and 2 blocks. Shenille Laber's 27 kills were a team-best. Sheridon Dewald had 31 digs, 10 kill and led in aces with 5.
Amber Piatz led the Imperials in assists with 33.
