BISMARCK—The North Dakota Game and Fish Department has completed its deer gun lottery, and more than 3,000 antlerless licenses remain, department officials said Thursday morning.

Individual results are available on the Game and Fish website at gf.nd.gov.

Remaining licenses are in units 3B3, 3D1, 3D2, 3E1, 3E2, 3F1, 3F2, 4C, 4D, 4E and 4F.

This year's lottery drawing was held more than a month earlier than in the past, said Kim Kary chief of administrative services for Game and Fish in Bismarck.

"Reducing the time between the application deadline and the lottery run date is a major benefit in moving to an all online lottery application process," Kary said.

The Game and Fish Department will mail deer licenses to successful applicants after they purchase a valid 2018-19 hunting license. All deer hunters, regardless of age, are required to have a general game and habitat license in addition to their deer license.

Only resident applicants who were unsuccessful in the first lottery can apply for remaining licenses. The first lottery application process — deer gun, muzzleloader, youth and landowner — had more than 113,000 applicants, and slightly less than 55,000 were unsuccessful.

Unsuccessful applicants can apply online for remaining licenses beginning Wednesday, July 11. The deadline for applying is Wednesday, Aug. 8.
