West Fargo moved to No. 1 in the latest Class A boys basketball media poll released Wednesday, one day after previously top-ranked Jamestown fell by four points at Minot.
The Magicians (5-0) slipped past the Blue Jays 54-50, moving up to No. 2 in the ranking from No. 4 and receiving nine of 20 first-place votes. Jamestown (2-1) is still ranked inside the top five at No. 4.
West Fargo garnered the remaining 11 first-place tallies and came in one point higher than Minot for the top spot, 88-87.
Jamestown will look to rebound Thursday (Dec. 21) at Bismarck. The Demons (3-1) have won three straight and finished sixth in this week's voting.
