The contest may have happened a little sooner than expected but the change didn't have much of an affect on the Jamestown American Legion baseball team.
Post 14 traveled to Devils Lake on Thursday, a doubleheader that was originally scheduled for Sunday, and had everything working.
Jamestown dominated Devils Lake 19-2 in five innings to open the day and followed with a 16-0 five-inning shutout to close it out.
"It was a complete effort from everyone today," said Post 14 coach Shane Schoeneberg.
Dakotah Walker pitched the entire first game with the lead after Jamestown put up three in the opening frame, and from there Walker never let Devils Lake back in it.

The 5-foot-7 righty gave up just two runs on five hits while striking out three.
"To put up runs in the first inning, especially being on the road was big," Schoeneberg said. "It gives the pitcher more incentive to pound the strike zone and go after the hitters."
Brady Anderson was the man behind the plate, but when he was at the plate he made Devils Lake pay.
Anderson led the offensive attack with five RBIs after going 3 for 5 from the plate.
Brandon Gange continued to hit the ball hard and went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Jordan Lynch also drove in two after going 1 for 3 with a double.
Jamestown's Tim Smith followed up Walker's performance with a gem of his own in the nightcap.
Smith gave up just one hit over five shutout innings as Jamestown completed the sweep with a 16-0 victory.
Smith struck out four and only allowed three players to reach base safely following a walk and a hit batter.

The offense carried over from Game 1 as Jamestown quickly took a 7-0 lead in the first inning, providing Smith the opportunity to pitch with the lead right from the beginning.
Reid Monson carried the offense in Game 2 by going 3 for 5 with two doubles and five RBIs. Riley Schaefer and Anderson also had two RBIs apiece.
Jamestown (7-8, 3-3) will have four days off before hosting Bismarck on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. for a conference doubleheader.
