Bismarck Century remains in top spot in Class A hoops polls

Last week the Patriots combined to outscore their opponents 469-351.

JAMESTOWN – The latest Class A boys and girls basketball polls have been released with lots of movement outside of the top spot.

The Bismarck Century Patriots are the unanimous choice for top team in the boys poll after a 3-0 week pushed their record out to 11-0. The movement starts at No. 2 as Minot jumps one spot thanks to a 3-1 week, which included a 96-71 win over No. 3 Mandan. The Magicians are now 12-2. After their loss to the Magicians, the Braves responded with a win over Bismarck Legacy to improve their record to 11-1.

The Patriots get all but one first-place vote in the girls' poll after a 3-0 week pushed their record out to 9-2. The Fargo Davies Eagles climb one spot to No. 2 and got one first-place vote after a 2-0 week pushed their record to 11-1. The No. 3 team in the girls poll is Grand Forks Red River which has a 12-1 record.
