Aspen Humes had to have been pretty happy leaving Mandan's Prairie West Golf Course Monday afternoon.

The Jamestown High School sophomore golfer broke 100 for the second time in her three meets played.

At Monday's invite in Mandan, Humes finished her 18-hole round with a score of 97 — 16 strokes better than her performance at last week's East-West Classic in Jamestown.

After a busy first couple of weeks, head coach Tracy Iliff and the Blue Jays will have an eight-day break before they head to Riverwood Golf Course for the Bismarck Legacy Invite on Aug. 30.

Century won the invite, putting together a 337-round while Mandan captured the No. 2 spot at their home meet, turning in a score of 345.

Mandan's Anna Huettl won her second straight meet with a four-over-76. Three-time Class A state champ, Hannah Herbel, was nipping at Huettl's heels. Herbel finished just two strokes back of the meet-winner to claim second-place.
