Blue Jays Roundup: Golf places sixth Friday, Romsdal places third

The Jamestown High School golf team competed at WDA Invites on May 19 and 20.

JAMESTOWN — Playing the Jamestown Country Club course must be like second nature for Easton Romsdal.

The Jamestown High School senior carded the Jays' first score in the 70s at the Jamestown Invite on May 19. Romsdal wound up placing third with a score of 76. As a team, the Jays finished tied for sixth out of 11 competing teams with a score of 337.

Fellow Blue Jay Andrew Walz was eight strokes behind the team leader with an 84 while Vaughn Romsdal and Luke LeFevre finished at 88 and 89 respectively.

Jace Dillman and Hunter Gegelman rounded out the Jays' scorecard with scores of 90 and 99.

The Blue Jays also competed at a meet on May 20. Final results were not available when The Jamestown Sun went to press.
