Rebels take down Skyhawks

The Edgeley-Kulm Rebels extended its winning streak in North Dakota high school 9-man football to two games with a 34-12 road-win over the Shiloh Christian Skyhawks on Friday.

The Edgeley-Kulm Rebels extended its winning streak in North Dakota high school 9-man football to two games with a 34-12 road-win over the Shiloh Christian Skyhawks on Friday.

The Skyhawks opened the scoring in the first quarter with a one-yard Kendall Hammeren run, but it was pretty much all Rebels after that. Edgeley-Kulm scored the next 28 straight points in the contest, led by sophomore running back Tallen Berg.

Berg rushed for a pair of scores, and hauled in a pair of touchdown receptions from junior quarterback Beau Diegel as the Rebels rolled.

The Rebels put up 469 yards of total offense, and gave up just 164 total yards to the Skyhawks.

Berg racked up 199 rushing yards on 24 carries, while Diegel completed 4 of 11 pass attempts for 110 yards.

Edgeley-Kulm improved its overall record to 2-4 with the victory, and also moved to 2-2 in Region 1 play.
