FARGO (AP) -- Registration has opened for deer hunting in several Fargo parks.
The program involves using trained bowhunters to manage urban deer herds along the Red River corridor.
The hunt was started a couple of years ago after residents along the river complained about deer damaging trees, bushes and gardens. Last year 11 deer were killed.
Archers must go through training and be certified to take part.
