FARGO (AP) -- Fargo South's Laura Roesler has finished her high school career as the most decorated prep track athlete in North Dakota history.
Roesler won state titles in the 200, 400 and 800 meters on Saturday at the state track meet in Bismarck, pushing her career total to a state record 20 individual championships.
Roesler also set a state record and ran the third-fastest prep 400 in the country with a winning time of 53.25.
USA Track and Field coach Rose Monday calls Roesler a "phenomenal talent" with the potential to be one of the best 800 runners in the country. She plans to compete for the University of Oregon next year.
