Second week of go kart racing held

Cody Wegner tops the heavy division with 160 points after two weeks of go kart racing in Jamestown.

Wegner leads Cordel Becker by 16 points in the class, which holds its races on select Sunday nights throughout the summer.

In the Junior 2 division, Kyle Anderson has the top mark with 154 points, two better than Cody Wolf (152) -- both of Jamestown.

Dylan and Stacy Pesek of Spiritwood are sitting in 1st and 2nd in both the medium and lite classifications.

In Junior 1, Breckin Braun holds the top spot with 154 points.

Six karts make up the Rookie class with Jamestown's Carter Strand's 147-point total currently leading the way.

July 9 is the next night of races planned as part of the Stutsman County Fair, featuring money payback. Kart draw is at 6 p.m. with races starting at 7.

The next doubleheader is planned for July 25. Draw is at 2 p.m. with racing beginning at 3. The second show draw is at 5.
