Mandan High School boys soccer scored two second-half goals Saturday to end Jamestown's season with a 2-0 defeat during a West Region state qualifier at Sanford Sports Complex in Bismarck.

Junior Parker Matthiesen converted a penalty kick in the 49th minute to open the scoring and senior Andrew Nagel scored a 78th-minute insurance tally off a feed from senior Evan Arenz.

The Blue Jays finished with a 2-11-1 record with wins over Crookston (Minn.) and Bismarck Legacy. Jamestown will only lose Jackson Kopperud to graduation, while bringing back 17 varsity players.
