Three Jamestown student-athletes were named Athlete of the Week for their performances last week.
Devin Beach, a senior at Jamestown High School, placed in three events at the WDA Indoor Meet held in Bismarck on April 2. Beach, Beach placed 5th in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5 feet, 8 inches. The senior also placed fifth in the triple jump, turning in a jump of 39 feet, 3 inches. The powerhouse also ran the second leg of the 4x200 meter relay. The Blue Jays placed third in the relay.
Beach wound up contributing 9.5 points to the Jays' 35.5 total team points. Jamestown placed fifth as a team at the WDA Invite.
Carlson, Olson put up low scores for Jimmie golf teams
Jayme Carlson, a junior for the University of Jamestown women's golf team, posted rounds of 87-86 at the Jimmie Spring Swing on March 28-29. Carlson wound up finishing fifth individually and helped to lead the Jimmies to a runner-up finish.
The Jimmies totaled a score of 713.

Tate Olson, a senior for the Jimmie men's golf team, posted rounds of 70-77 at the Jimmie Spring Swing to win and lead the men’s golf team to victory as well.
The UJ men's team carded a score of 613, 14 strokes ahead of second-place, Hastings College.
