The Jamestown Optimist Club released its first Athlete of the Week of the 2022-23 sports season Thursday morning.
The club picked Kalli Hegerle, a COVID senior for the University of Jamestown women's volleyball team this week.
Hegerle led the team with 46 kills at the Montana Tech Tournament Aug. 19-20. She averaged 3.29 kills per set and a .343 hitting percentage to help the Jimmies go 3-1 over the weekend.
The standout right-side also recorded 54 assists, 20 digs and 7 blocks.
