Sport shorts: Tennis season comes to a close for Blue Jays

The Jamestown High School girls tennis season has officially ended.

The Jamestown High School girls tennis team's season came to a close on Monday.

The No. 9 ranked Blue Jays fell 5-0 to eighth-seeded St. Mary's in a WDA Tournament play-in match. The Jays finished out the year at 0-8 in conference and 0-11 overall. No conference sets were won by any Blue Jay players this season.

Minot, Legacy, Bismarck High, Century, Mandan, Dickinson, Williston and St. Mary's will be the eight teams represented at the 2023 West Region Tournament set to begin Thursday in Mandan.
