N.D. Sports Hall of Fame postponed

The 2020 North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet previously scheduled for this Saturday, June 13, at the Jamestown Civic Center has been postponed to June 12, 2021.

The North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame committee decided to reschedule the biannual event due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As health organizations have strengthened their advisories, it is clear that caution is the best way to assist in restricting the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” the committee stated in a press release issued by committee president Pam Fosse. “The priority of the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame is the health, safety, and wellness of our Hall of Fame members, inductees, committee, and attendees.”

The North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame plans to hold an induction ceremony and banquet in both 2021 and 2022. The 2021 inductees will be former NFL safety Doug Beaudoin, former Kansas Jayhawk men’s basketball player Jeff Boschee, former Carrington High School and North Dakota State track and field star Whitney (Carlson) Bruins and former NHL winger Mike Peluso.
