Earlier deadline for The Sun
The Jamestown Sun's deadline was moved up to 9:15 p.m. on Friday night.
The paper was being printed in Detroit Lakes, Minn., due to press maintenance in West Fargo, where The Sun is normally printed.
The Sun will also have early deadline on Sunday, June 15.
The early deadline meant fewer regional and national games were completed at press time.

Anderson homers in Merchants' win
The Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants defeated the Kindred Kings on Wednesday night in Fargo League action.
Brady Anderson clubbed a three-run homer for the Merchants, who scored at least one run in each of the first five innings.
Jared Purdy, Dan Ross and Anthony Fontana added two hits each for the Merchants.
Brandon Baumgartner went five innings with seven strikeouts to get the win on the mound for the Merchants, who play the Kings again Wednesday, June 17.

Hillcrest Men hold weekly event
Closest-to-the-pin winners on Thursday at Hillcrest Men's Night were Roger Koenig (1 foot, 10 inches on No. 15), Hartley Hoyt (3-9 on No. 8), Dion Schlenker (15-3 on No. 7) and Matt Goehner (15-8 on No. 17).
Doug Wahl (12-1 on No. 3) had the best second shot. Dan Severson sank a putt from 15 feet, 5 inches on No. 4.
Larry Walz won the door prize.
