Schmeichel Mystic's spotlight athlete
Taylor Schmeichel, a 5-foot-8 sophomore forward from Jamestown, was currently highlighted as Bismarck State College's spotlight player.
Schmeichel earned a starting position with the Mystics and helped the team win 10 games this winter until sustaining a season-ending knee injury in late January. Schmeichel was averaging 8.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game for the Mystics prior to the injury, and was also converting 8.3.3 percent from the foul line.
Bismarck State has played to a record of 13-10 with three regular-season games remaining.
