The Jamestown High School swimming and diving team has maintained its winning record in duals this season.

The Blue Jays hosted the Shanley, Wahpeton, Jamestown Double Duals Thursday night. The home team defeated Shanley 97-88 and managed to top Wahpeton by 100 points, defeating the Huskies 134-34.

The Blue Jays will be in Mandan Friday. Head coach Ben Smith and his squad will be back in action Friday in Mandan. The dual will begin at 5 p.m.

Of the 12 events timed Thursday night, the Blue Jays managed to win five of them.

Right off the bat, the Jays' 200 medley relay, comprised of Allysah Larson, Georgia Lettenmaier, Chea Baugh and Delanie Finck, got the Jays' on the board with a first-place finish. The four Blue Jays swam to a combined time of 2 minutes, 6.18 seconds.

Baugh, a longtime swimmer for the Jays, also took the 500 freestyle, touching the wall at 0.05 seconds shy of 5:45. Baugh, a multi-event state qualifier, eclipsed her competition by a stretch of almost 15 seconds.

Jamestown's 200 freestyle relay, one of the team's strongest, took the double dual win with a time of 1:51.76. Baugh anchored the relay.

Alexes Prasek, also a member of the 200 free relay team, also took home top honors in the 100-butterfly and the 100-backstroke.
