Thunder headed to District 6 title match

JSSP Volleyball

Medina/Pingree-Buchanan has advanced to the championship match of the District 6 volleyball tournament.

The Thunder dispatched tournament host South Border 3-2 in the semifinals on Monday at Wishek High School, surviving a 17-15 fifth set. MPB's Megan Moser erupted for 34 kills and 36 digs in the match.

MPB (18-14) will play Linton-HMB (27-9) tomorrow (Tuesday) in the title game at approximately 7:30 p.m. The Region 3 qualifiers begin at 4:30 with Strasburg-Zeeland facing South Border.

The Region 3 volleyball tournament begins Nov. 11 in Linton.
