University of Jamestown’s Julia Johnson qualified for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the triple jump, as the University of Jamestown men’s and women's indoor track and field teams took part in the Northern State dual Sunday afternoon in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Johnson set a personal indoor best of 11.45 meters (37 feet, 6 3/4 inches) to win the women’s triple jump, meeting the "A" qualifying standard of 11.40 meters. The senior from Park River, North Dakota, also took first place in the long jump with a mark of 5.28 meters (17 feet, 4 inches), narrowly missing her collegiate-best indoor mark of 5.29 meters.

Next up for the Jimmies is the Cobber Open, hosted by Concordia-Moorhead College on Saturday.
