Valley City used a six-run second inning to defeat LaMoure 10-5 in the third-place game of the Grafton American Legion baseball tournament.
Trent Egan went 1 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs for Valley City, while Tony Van Dyke went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Trevor Justeson, Devin Haugen and Derek Kohler also had RBIs for Valley City.
Justeson also started on the hill and earned the win after pitching into the sixth inning.
Aarom Stemen had some success for LaMoure batting 2 for 4 with two RBIs.
Brett Hample was shouldered with the loss.

LaMoure earned its spot in the third-place game after defeating Rolette 10-5 in the opening round before falling to Casselton 11-7 in the second round.
LaMoure's Cole Gentzkow went the distance on the mound for LaMoure against Rolette, striking out seven and walking four.
Gaige Dunn went 1 for 2 with a home run and three RBIs. Devin Olson also had three RBIs.
Casselton opened up the game early with 11 runs in the first three innings against LaMoure, putting Post 19 in a deep early hole.
Mike Rose had four RBIs and Jack Wilcox had three to lead the Casselton offensive attack.
Stemen had three RBIs for LaMoure (8-5) and Olson had two.
Zach Stemen suffered the loss after starting for LaMoure and Sam Schumacher earned the win.
