EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings will start training camp in Mankato with their first practice on Friday, July 30.
The Vikings announced the schedule Monday, and this camp is on the shorter side.
The team will have single practices on two of their first three days and 10 sets of two-a-day practices.
The Vikings will have 23 open-to-the-public practices at Minnesota State University over 14 days before departing prior to their first exhibition game at St. Louis on Aug. 14.
The Vikings also made some minor roster moves Monday, claiming wide receiver Marko Mitchell off waivers from the Detroit Lions and waiving center Tommy Hernandez and defensive end Cedric McKinley. Hernandez and McKinley, who played for the Gophers, were previously signed as rookie free agents.
