Special teams miscues and an anemic offensive performance by the Jimmies was too much to overcome in a 21-10 loss to 23rd-ranked Valley City State Saturday afternoon at Lokken Field.
The Jimmies had beaten the Vikings five straight times, but the Vikings have their best team in years and they got some early help from the Jimmies and did not waste it.
In the first quarter alone, Brad Lint threw an interception and two bad snaps to punter Craig Anderson gave the Vikings the ball inside the JC 30-yard line three times.
The Jimmies committed three turnovers, but forced four in another strong effort by the defense.

The Jimmies are back on the road next week traveling all the way to Division III Wis-LaCrosse.
