University of Jamestown women's volleyball players Taylor Sabinash (attacker), Jackie Meiklejohn (setter) and Sydney Ellingson (defender) swept this week's Great Plains Athletic Conference player-of-the-week awards in the sport.

Sabinash, a junior from nearby Kensal, scored 16 kills in 35 attempts for a hitting percentage of .314 in helping the Jimmies to a pair of weekend victories over Dordt and Morningside. She also had 12 total blocks, including 11 block assists.

Meiklejohn, a junior from Dickey, dished out 56 assists in the two wins. She also recorded a double-double against Morningside with 12 digs and was a perfect 36-for-36 at the service line with two aces.

Ellingson, a senior from Langdon, recorded 48 digs over UJ's two games and had just one error in 19 attempts on serve receive.

Jamestown, 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference, hosts Dordt University at Harold Newman Arena tonight at 7:30 p.m. The Jimmies play at rival Valley City State on Wednesday.
