The No. 1 University of Jamestown women's volleyball team rebounded from a sluggish first set to defeat 18th-ranked Dordt University 3-1 Friday night.

Jamestown moves to 19-0 overall and 8-0 in the GPAC while the Defenders fall to 10-6 overall and 2-5 in the conference.

Dordt led 8-3 in the first set and eventually went ahead 20-11 to force a Jimmie timeout. Kills by Aleah Zieske and Corina Huff cut the lead to seven, but the Defenders responded with back-to-back kills of their own.

In set No. 2, Jamestown took a 9-3 lead, and after Dordt cut the lead to 11-7, Huff and Jayla Ritter kills made it a six-point advantage once again. A 4-0 run capped off by a Defender set error made it 19-9 and the Jimmies went on to tie the match.

Dordt won the first point of the third set, and 1-0 was the only time they would lead in the frame. Jamestown ran off seven of nine points to turn a 13-10 edge into a 20-12 cushion.
