Linton/HMB took care of business against EKM on Thursday Oct. 7, sweeping the Rebels 25-3, 25-15, 25-10 to move to 13-1 overall and 7-0 in Region 3. The Rebels are 1-5 in the region and are 5-12-1 overall.

Fourteen of Gracie Schumacher's assists were to ShayLee Bosch. The junior middle led the Lions at the net while JayCee Richter added 12 more on the outside. Teegan Scherr also cracked into the double digits, hammering 10 down the line.

Libero Callie Hase popped up 15 balls in the back row while Scherr dug up another 12.

Bison come up empty against Cardinals

Barnes County North is still on the hunt for that elusive first win of the season.

The Bison fell 3-0 in a Region 3, District 5 meeting with Ellendale Monday night in Ellendale. The Cardinals improved to 2-7 in the Region standings and 5-11 overall. BCN has come up winless in all contests played so far this season.

The Cardinals had five hitters tally at least five kills Monday night. Christena Walker and Avery Rotondi were the team leaders with seven while Shelby Miller, Mackenzie Thorpe and Kaylin Slivoskey combined for 15. Slivoskey was also the Cards' dig leader with 19 while Miller and Ariel Hagen contributed another 33.

BCN's Ryann Guescetter and Hannah Wieland combined for 35 digs against the Ellendale offense.

Both Ellendale and BCN are slated to be on the road on Oct. 12. Ellendale is set to take on Griggs-Midkota while the Bison are set to square off against EKM. Both matches are scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
