The National Weather Service confirmed reports of a tornado Wednesday afternoon in Kidder County in North Dakota. Multiple reports indicated the tornado about 4 miles east-southeast of Tappen.
The NWS said there was no damage reported from the tornado that was part of a line of thunderstorms that crossed the region. The same weather system also brought isolated heavy rain to some areas of the region.
